Originally from Chicago, Joe grew up in a musical family. His dad, Frank, is a serious jazzer on piano and accordion, and his brother Frank is a fantastic drummer. Joe graduated from Millikin University studying both music performance and recording. He worked to become a versatile musician and is comfortable in just about any style on fretted and fretless electric as well as upright bass. Since moving south Joe has quickly become a first-call Atlanta bassist.
Versatility, experience, and groove have kept Joe working with the best musicians and producers. He has recorded with Andre 300 of OutKast, guitar great Earl Klugh, Grammy nominee Howard Tate, producer Jerry Rogavoy (Janis Joplin) from New York's famed Hit Factory, Dove award winning Babbie Mason and Joe Gransden on his recent recording produced by Kenny G.
